World cup volunteer opportunity
Hello all! Looking forward to ski season coming up! The Loppet Foundation has asked for the help of students/parents in clearing buckthorn at Theodore Wirth that is blocking necessary areas for the upcoming World Cup. They have an open time slot next Tuesday, the 26th, from 5-6:30pm. Students and parents are invited to volunteer. Any interested parties should email crhsnordicskiing@gmail.com by this Friday so we can submit our group to the Loppet Foundation and they can prepare tools, etc. If there are any current Cross Country runners that are interested in volunteering, please also speak to Denny. We have discussed the possibility of doing practice (for those runners interested in volunteering) at Wirth prior to the volunteering slot. Thank you!
Message from the Boosters:
Tomorrow 9/11 is our first booster club meeting. They are all held at the Coon Rapids Civic Center, Conference Room # 5 at 7PM. See the team calendar for a list of all scheduled meetings.
All parents of skiers are welcome to attend. Some skiers like to come as well but it’s not required. We discuss upcoming meets, fundraising and how to spend that money we raise, how and why we need your help, coaches give updates and if there are any new ideas or things we need to talk about. Whether you are a Booster Club member or just an involved parent, we can always use your help. It’s also a great way to learn more about the sport of Nordic. It can be complicated and confusing with different boot types, skis for classic and skate, different poles, waxing and all so this group is a great resource for
questions you may have. Some examples of help we may need during the season: food donations for larger meets and/or Winter camp, parent chaperones, parent drivers for fundraising (if required). If you have a particular talent that you think might benefit the team, please let us know. Keep an eye out for emails from CRHS about volunteering and get your volunteer paperwork submitted so you’re ready to go when needed.

From the Boosters - Last Meeting of the Season
Hi Everyone,
Our last Booster meeting of the year is this coming Monday (3/6) at 7pm in our usual spot (City Center small Conference Room near the door).
We will wrap up the year, hand over positions to their new assignees, talk about things we learned and how we want to enter into next year. The club appreciates everyone’s support, we have such a great group of families. See you there!
We will be having a banquet to celebrate our season on Wednesday March 1st, at the banquet hall in the Coon Rapids Civic Center.
