Skiers!

Be at school at 6:30am for the bus to leave at 7:00am

First Day Notes: Please consider what will be accessible to you on the bus and not accessible to you on the trailer. For the ride to “OO”, on the bus you should have a bag with breakfast and lunch and be dressed in your ski clothing – Ski boots and Snow boots should be on the bus. We will be skiing immediately upon arrival and will not be checking into the hotel until dinner time. Additionally, while the weather looks tame compared to last week, winter coats and other “emergency” clothing should be easily available on the bus in case we run into any trouble on the way to Hayward. Otherwise, everything else will be on the trailer, buried under our skis.

Food Notes: There will be continental breakfast available for the 30th and 31st. And the Boosters are providing dinner for the 29th and 30th. So the only additional food you need to pack are your lunches for the 29th and 30th and snacks/dinner for the way back home on the 31st. I’ve attached a rough itinerary to our documents section or through the link below.

General Notes: We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Hayward, WI. We got intel that the pool, sauna, and hot tub are going to be open! Parents, a reminder that if you would like to send any items to camp, there are still a couple items we are requesting listed on sign up genius.

We plan to return 12/31 by 6:00pm
Us coaches are looking forward to getting in some great skiing and team bonding! We can’t wait to see you all bright and early!

Update*** Middle schoolers and parents of middle schoolers. I will be at the school at 1:30 and can access lockers to grab skis and whatever is needed. Can you please designate someone/high schooler to meet me at the ski room or outside of door 3 to collect these items? Please message me what I need to grab for each middle schooler.

With school cancelled 12/22, this means that we cannot have practice either. That being said, after school today Dec. 21 please make sure you grab your skis from the ski room and bring your skis home along with everything in your locker that you will need over break and winter camp. We might not be able to enter the school until we return from break in January so please check your ski lockers for your equipment and clothing.

You can comment on this post if you have any questions.

Race Recap and Winter Camp

Posted by Coon Rapids Nordic Ski Team at Dec 11, 2022 7:05PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Hello All!

Race Recap
Wednesday was an excellent start to our competitive season! There was great, positive energy and eagerness. All of our first year skiers had a chance to be competitive and show all that they’ve learned after being on the snow less than 10 times!

Our next race is scheduled for Thursday at Elm Creek. It should be a classic race.

Winter Camp Update
Scheduled to leave early morning, Dec. 29 and then return early evening of the 31st. This is not mandatory, but is an excellent opportunity to ski on the great Birkebeiner trails. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Hayward, WI. A more detailed itinerary will come out closer to camp time. The cost for camp this year will be $100. This covers the hotel, ski pass, bus pass, etc. Our boosters are requesting a $40 deposit or the full amount to confirm your attendance by Friday Dec. 16. You can pay with checks made out to CRNSBC or you can use Venmo: CR Nordic @CRXCski (in the memo for both, please put down that it is for Winter Camp as well as the name(s) it is for so we can keep track of who has paid. )

For those that would like to send any items to camp to help with meals and such, please go to this link to see what is needed and to sign up:
